The Masonic United Nations Economic and Social Council (MUNESC) is one of the six principal organs of The Masonic United Nations, responsible for coordinating the economic and social fields of the organization, specifically in regards to the 15 specialized agencies, the eight functional commissions and the five regional commissions under its jurisdiction.
The Council serves as the central forum for discussing international economic and social issues and formulating policy recommendations addressed to member and the United Nations system. A number of non-governmental organizations have been granted consultative status to the Council to participate in the work of The Masonic United Nations.
It will hold one four-week session each year in July, starting in 2020, it will also hold an annual meeting in April with finance ministers heading key committees of the MUN-World Bank and the MUN-International Monetary Fund (MUNIMF).
